It has been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long since I blogged. I feel awful because when I seen the entry of my last blog, it was July! So much has happened and I can't think of all the things to say. I've gone to 2 concerts, Katy Perry and Aaron Pritchett. Been to Las Vegas.....OMG!!!! I so am going to go back! It was awesome! I've been busy with work and have now just accepted another term teaching position for 3 months. Tim is now in Grade 3! Gosh, time sure has flown. We've started to redecorate our kitchen/dining room. We got new appliances in the spring and last week I painted the walls. We've got to put up the valances and then hopefully (fingers crossed) will be able to rip out the carpet and put the new flooring in very soon. I have to yet repaint my cupboards but I can do that in the winter time in Dwain's workshop.
I've been busy creating cards mainly. I get into these spurts of either making cards or doing layouts. Right now it's cards. I hope to sell them at a craft fair in November.
Over at Paper Therapy, I'm still on the Design Team. We've revamped some of the challenges a bit. Nothing major but more just tweaked them. Another co-DT member set up and hosted an awesome online crop. Here are pictures of what I made.....
Now wouldn't you like to get all this done within 1 week! Just come on over to www.papertherapy.yuku.com and sign in. You will get approval to join and them you can have all the fun of playing along. Hope to see you there!

Got Sketch?
This is one of my favorite sketch sites. Simple, sleek and so very easy to do! For our current DT challenge at Paper Therapy, we were asked to pick a sketch and do it. Simple? That was for sure. I chose this sketch courtesy of Got Sketch:
Now here is the card I made:

It's all about the RED & WHITE!!!!
We are so nearing Canada Day and a time for celebration. As I post this latest challenge to the Paper Therapy DT Challenge, I'm preparing for our golf course (Rossman Lake Golf & Country Club) 1st tournament of the year. I'm going in it with a great friend and we hope to do well! The weather now is cool and overcast....perfect for golfing!!!
Meanwhile over at Paper Therapy, we on the DT, have posted our latest challenge. Since I'm the lone Canadian on the DT, I modified it a bit to suite our nation's colors, RED & WHITE!!! But should you be from our neighbor country, make sure to include the brilliant BLUE! Here is the card I made for the challenge.

Fabulous Father's......
Father's Day is just around the corner and I'm not sure what to get my wonderful and darling husband Dwain for Father's Day!?!? I wouldn't say that I'm freaking out but I do want to show him how much I love and appreciate him as a husband and father! I guess I'm a little bit more sentimental as June marks the anniversary of when my own dad died....19 years! Wow, time sure has flown by. I guess that even though I don't have the "perfect" gift, a card and perhaps a gift card or going out for supper would be just fabulous too! Here is the card that I made for a Paper Therapy DT challenge.....I just might use this card for my dearest and wonderful husband!
So as we come closer to Father's day, hug yours, tell them that you love and appreciate them! Do something special for them whether big or small or costly or not! I know that I will with my husband!
As well, I hope you all hop on over to www.papertherapy.yuku.com and join our family for many card challenges, fun, comraderie and ideas! See you all there!!!

Inspiration can be found.....
literally anywhere.
This week's challenge is to find any ad and use that as inspiration. I've never done one like this before but I tell you that it's very easy to find inspiration out there. I simply googled advertising pictures and came up with so many options. The hard part was picking one out and using it. I found this ad for my source of inspiration for this Paper Therapy DT Challenge that I had to make for my DT contribution...
So, from this source of inspiration I made this. I do admit that I don't follow things to the "T" but just as this challenge is for you it's to find the inspiration to do something else. Here is what I made for a card:
So now, come on over....don't wait or procrastinate....come and join our group. Play with our challenges and win some prizes too! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Freaky Friday....but a couple days late!?
I was supposed to post this Friday but it was absolutely busy for me. Over at Paper Therapy another challenge has been posted called "Freaky Friday". In this challenge you were to scraplift another member's card and use it as a source of inspiration. Here is what I chose from "cutie Jensen".....
I took inspiration from the little tools and found some in my own stash of brads and came up with this.
Let's now see what you can come up with from a source of inspiration that you found. Come on over to www.papertherapy.yuku.com and sign up to become a part of the fun and all the challenges.....maybe you will be the next winner of an awesome prize!!!

Just for you.....
It's that time of the year for Mother's Day. I unfortunately will be missing out on it because I'll be working nights that weekend. Maybe supper might be in the plans. Over at Paper Therapy, our next Design Team challenge was to create something for your mom, MIL, grandmother, sister or even a deserving friend. I made this Tag book and matching card.
With the upcoming Mother's day on very soon, let's see what you come up with. Get creative, be inspiring and show all your love with a special home made card and maybe even gift. Head on over to www.papertherapy.yuku.com and join our family and enter in to our challenges to win prizes! I sure hope to see you over there!

Here comes Peter Cottontail....
Well, maybe not the real Peter Cottontail, but Easter is around the corner really soon! Over at Paper Therapy, the DT, came up with a really cool challenge. You needed to make a card that has some relevance to Easter, baskets, bunnies or just whatever. I chose the concept of a basket being a weaved image and did this.....
So now what you need to do is head on over to http://www.papertherapy.yuku.com/ and sign up to become a member. Take your imagination to the max and create something to possibly win a prize!?!? Hope to see you there!

Skittles anyone?
If you're a sweet tooth then Skittles are just the way to go!!! There was a challenge over at Paper Therapy (where I am a PROUD Design Team member) and I wanted to take part in the challenge. The challenge was to find something to "dress up". I'm also a fan of Epicure and had this empty jar and since I love Skittles, I thought it would be neat to dress up the jar and put some Skittles in it that I bought! It's an indulgence that I go for just once in a while. Here is the before picture.....
And here is the "dressed up" version shown with some yummy Skittles and a birthday card. These are great inexpensive ideas to give to friends, family, teacher.....just whoever. You can personalize what you put in them so that whoever is getting it will have a sample of their yummy candy in it.
Make sure to come over and join Paper Therapy and take part in the fun, learn new ideas and maybe win a prize! The website is http://www.papertherapy.yuku.com/ . You have to apply to join but will in no time flat get approved then you are welcomed to come on in and meet some awesome ladies and try your turn at some great challenges! Hope to see you there!
